Well, here the answer is easy, you can rarely meet a fireplace from the other century in such immaculate condition ...
IMMACULATELY WHITE AND MOST DESIRED.
I can give a unique answer to these two situations. And I can do so through a question: Which of the Carrara Whites is the most sought after in a fireplace by women and architects in general? But of course the STATUARY marble, and that is because its paste is very white, algid or milky, but very white. In fact, the mantel I am proposing here is not really STATUARY marble, however, it is its younger brother and is called, precisely, STATUARIETTO...
Said marble had (and still has..) costs far higher than “normal” White Carrara, so much so that it was used mainly if not exclusively for fireplaces of greater decorative load.. for the “beautiful fireplace,” in short, and not for that of the bedroom or sitting room as our Pompadour plat was at the time considered...
When I come across minimalist fireplaces like this that are made of fine marble like this, I always have this vision: That of a foundry worker going to work dressed in silk and tulle... A rare thing, isn't it!

You must know that this specific fireplace was purchased by me in a “block” of 5 or 6 other similar fireplaces, all in marbles belonging to the Carrara family... The price was set “one for the other” and I am sure that the wrecker who sold them to me did not realize the particular quality of this specific mantel.. Perhaps he was in a hurry to cash in and load up, the fact is that I bought this fireplace at the price of its lower-ranking colleagues....
And if I usually offer a Pompadour fireplace in Statuario or Statuarietto marble at higher prices than the average PLAT fireplace... this time I decided, as I practically always do in such cases, to “turn over” to my client the fine economic opportunity I just took advantage of...
And I'm not doing it out of generosity, it's not like I'm Santa Claus, I'm simply doing it because, while my income remains the same, I certainly please the most attentive and quickest customer in grabbing this little bargain
